South Carolina's leading returning receiver, Bruce Ellington, may miss the Gamecocks' game against North Carolina with a hamstring problem that has plagued him throughout the preseason, according to wistv.com. And the team's most explosive tight end, Busta Anderson, will almost certainly miss the game, per gogamecocks.com.

"Bruce is questionable. He'll try to run around tomorrow (Wednesday)," said South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier.

Ellington managed 40 catches for 600 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the team. Also a Gamecocks basketball player, the senior reportedly re-aggravated the hamstring injury several days ago. Anderson, also dealing with a hamstring problem, caught 14 passes for 271 yards last year, just under 20 yards per catch.

"Looks like Busta's not going to make it back," Spurrier said.

The absence of Ellington and Anderson could mean big problems for the South Carolina passing game and more eight-man fronts from the UNC defense.
