Browns sign RB Shaun Draughn off practice squad

The Cleveland Browns added another running back to their 53-man roster.

The team announced Saturday they signed Shaun Draughn off the practice squad.

Prior to the roster move, the Browns were set to enter Sunday's tilt with the New York Jets with starter Isaiah Crowell and rookie Duke Johnson as the only backs available. Cleveland claimed running back Robert Turbin from the Seattle Seahawks this week. Turbin is expected to miss around a month with an ankle injury.

Draughn appeared in four games in 2014 for the Browns without a carry. The 27-year-old has compiled 245 yards on 73 carries and 24 receptions for 158 yards for his career. Draughn has spent time with the Chargers, Bears, Ravens, Chiefs and Browns.

Barring injury to Crowell or Johnson on Sunday, we don't expect Draughn to have an impact on the contest.
