Bengals' A.J. Green (toe) says he'll play vs. Jaguars

The Bengals have been without A.J. Green for three weeks, enduring mixed results in the process.

This Sunday, though, when they take on the Jaguars at home, Green says he'll be ready to go.

When pressed by reporters in Cincinnati on Monday, Green said that he would take the field against Jacksonville, and that his toe injury is progressing.

"I'll practice this week and see how it goes, but I think I'll be fine," Green said. "I was at 40 percent last week and I feel about 80 percent today. I haven't had any soreness after I've worked out."

Green's 80 percent assertion mirrors what he told NFL Media's Stacey Dales following the Bengals' win over the Ravens on Sunday.

In some ways, it seems to make more sense to let Green rest for one more week and then jump into action the following Thursday against Cleveland, a divisional game with much more importance.

But Green, who was still putting up impressive numbers before his injury, sounds like he can't wait that long.
