Baltimore Ravens won't rush Terrell Suggs back on field

Despite serious hits to the team's defense during Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys, the Baltimore Ravens aren't planning on rushing Terrell Suggs back into action, a source privy to the club's plans said Monday.

at 8 p.m. ET.

Suggs, who injured his Achilles this offseason, is eligible to return to practice as soon as Wednesday.

The three-week window for Suggs to return to the practice field starts this week, and once he hits the practice field, another three-week window opens for the Ravens to decide if they will move him to the active roster or put him on season-ending injured reserve.

The club's thinking, as it stands now, is that the earliest Suggs could be game-ready is mid-November.

The team lost both linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Lardarius Webb for the season to respective triceps and anterior cruciate ligament injuries in Sunday's win.
