ATL Warming Seat: Andy Reid remains in top spot

Welcome back to the ATL Warming Seat, where we discuss NFL coaches whose seats are heating up as the weather cools down.

It was another dire week for coaches in trouble. Everyone on our list is coming off a loss in Week 10 with the exception of the Pat Shurmur, whose Cleveland Browns defeated the bye week on a late field goal.

Big wins helped Jason Garrett and Mike Munchak off their toasty chairs this week. Who takes their spots?

Let's dig in ...

1. Andy Reid, Philadelphia Eagles

(Last week: No. 1)

Michael Vick survived -- and that's definitely the right word here -- 10 weeks before his offensive line finally did him in on Sunday. I don't buy the theory getting Nick Foles in the lineup could actually save Reid's job.

2. Romeo Crennel, Kansas City Chiefs

(Last week: No. 3)

The good news: The Chiefs finally tasted the sweet nectar of a lead ... and they very nearly beat the Steelers to boot. The bad news? An emotionless Crennel watched from the sidelines as his 1-8 team was flaggled for a series of escalating touchdown celebrations. Unless owner Clark Hunt is a closet Kid 'n Play fan, this won't end well.

3. Norv Turner, San Diego Chargers

(Last week: Unranked)

This week on a very special That's Norv!, our coach angrily and profanely gets after a local reporter for asking a question he deems to be of little value in the journalistic sense!

Breer: Midseason coach firings

Do in-season head coach firings work? Albert Breer talked to six men who have made that decision to find out the answer. **More ...**

4. Ron Rivera, Carolina Panthers

(Last week: Unranked)

The Panthers  have hired front-office guru Ernie Accorsi to help the team find a new general manager. Things will get awkward if Accorsi asks Rivera who he wants to fire him.

5. Pat Shurmur, Cleveland Browns

(Last week: No. 4)

There are few things we can count on in this crazy world, but Pat Shurmur having a place at the Warming Seat is one of them.
