PLAYER ANALYSIS
Bruener doesn’t have the chiseled frame of a linebacker, but he seems to get things done. He comes from NFL bloodlines and plays stronger than his listed weight, with heavy hands. Despite the production, he appears to lack the functional speed and athleticism to survive against NFL offenses beyond the box. Bruener might not be an ideal fit as an NFL backup, but his special-teams work will be enticing for teams.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Three-year starter with each of the three seasons coming at different schools. Muhammad is on the small side as a perimeter cornerback. He’s much better in press and run technique than mirroring and matching the release. His footwork and body control are average in space, but he has some burst that, along with his ball skills, create a higher number of contested throws. That said, Muhammad might not have the cover tools and functional run support to make an NFL roster as a backup nickelback.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Latu is a tall tight end who has gained 20-plus pounds since his freshman season, but he still needs to keep getting stronger. He’s willing as a blocker and gets into block fits with good positioning and technique. However, he lacks the play strength to compete against an NFL opponent at the point of attack. He has good hands and a wide catch radius but lacks separation quickness underneath and the speed to outrun man coverage in space. Latu is not a clean fit as a Y or an F tight end, which makes his NFL projection challenging.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Three-technique with impressive power and core strength to play heavier than his measured weight. Valdez made the jump from Montana State to Washington and fit right in as a read-and-react defender, using his leverage and strength to neutralize the block. He has shorter arms, which limit his success shedding or playing around blocks in both phases. He needs to play with better first-step explosiveness and play recognition at the outset but his power at the point is worth monitoring.
