Instinctive inside linebacker with a nose for the football to help counter a below-average athletic profile. Pool is an early down linebacker who does his best work inside the tackle box. He has the eyes to play faster than his top-end speed, but the play can get away from him if it flows out into space. He won’t offer third-down value and will need to really step up on special teams if he’s going to convince a team to make him a backup.
