Blackshear is not big enough to be an every-down back and his production certainly won't blow anyone away, but he's an instinctive open-field runner with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. He's a shifty, one-cut specialist with quick feet to elude incoming tacklers, but will struggle to find yards after contact between the tackles. He has mismatch ability as a receiver and could compete as a change-of-pace back, but his lack of size, production and explosive qualities could hurt his chances of being drafted.
