PLAYER ANALYSIS
On paper, there is a lot working against Hastings. He lacks play strength, has very short arms, has an ACL tear in his background and offers no special teams value. However, slot receivers with the suddenness and burst to separate and make catches underneath always have at least a shot. Hastings tested well at Auburn's pro day, which could help mitigate a lack of career production, but adjusting to the strength and physicality of NFL cornerbacks is critical. Most of his 2019 catches were on short, out-breaking routes and he will need to prove that he can uncover from a variety of routes on both the first and second levels.
