PLAYER ANALYSIS
Productive runner with good vision and one-cut talent, but lacking the tempo and contact balance to excel between the tackles. Pierce's running style is a bit herky-jerky, but he does have quick feet that can make it work for him within reason. He lacks the power to drive through arm tackles and plays with a "run to daylight" mentality that will create feast-or-famine carries as a pro. He's agile and processes traffic well, which aids his cause. He's not a classic third-down back because he's not very good picking up the blitz, but he's a quality pass-catcher who could find a spot deep on the depth chart for a zone-scheme offense.
