PLAYER ANALYSIS
Townsend comes from a punting family with his brother, Johnny, holding most school records. Unlike his brother, Tommy is slightly built and doesn't quite have the leg that big brother had. This past season was a down year for him, but he still averaged 44.0 per punt. He's a decent directional punter with the athletic ability to pull of a fake punt here or there, but he will need to punt with even more consistency to have a shot of making a team.
