PLAYER ANALYSIS
Primarily an inside linebacker in college, Evans has the strength and versatility for consideration inside or outside as a 4-3 strong-side linebacker. He plays effectively with his eyes, diagnosing and flowing to the football. He's patient to prevent over-pursuit, but needs to improve his hand usage to keep from being washed away by move blocks. He's built lower to the ground, but the pad level still gets him in some trouble in taking on blocks and making open-field tackles. He's athletic enough for spot drops, but must prove he can cover real pass-catching threats man-to-man.
