PLAYER ANALYSIS
2019 was his only season at the "Dog" position on the edge, but the production was staggering in several high-impact stat columns. However, Mencer's size, length and strength should get him evaluated at his former, off-ball linebacker spot. He's a natural athlete with above-average speed and a highly effective spin move used to rush the quarterback and unhinge from run blocks. He has experience covering in space, but allows too much separation against speed. His 12 career forced fumbles represent his active attempts to attack the football, but he needs to attack the block and attack the runner with the same level of urgency and aggression to stick around with a team.
