PLAYER ANALYSIS
Despite a disappointing win-loss record and a lack of blocking up front, Akers maintained a consistent level of play that represents his football character. He runs with tempo and flow but alters his rush track at a moment's notice when needed. He is elusive but lacking the instant burst of a slasher capable of stacking long runs in a single game. Akers has above-average open-field vision once he's into the second level and looks to run through the tackler's pads as a finisher. He's a three-down option with good feel for finding the crease near the goal line, but ball security needs to improve. He can be Leg 1 or 2 of a tandem rushing attack and is one of the more natural runners in the draft.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Tall, slender, man-cover corner who is disruptive and physical from press but needs to rely on technique and footwork to avoid penalties at the next level. Stat services dinged him for catches and yards allowed that should have clearly gone on the safety's tab. He plays with good instincts and athleticism to make plays on the football and is a challenging matchup on 50/50 balls. He possesses the necessary traits to fit into a variety of coverage schemes, but teams will want to see better effort and consistency in run support. Samuels might find starter's work within the first couple of years in the league.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Former five-star recruit and one of the more heralded cornerbacks coming out of high school. He's fast, but long speed doesn't mean as much since he lacks the length to challenge throws over the top. He has outside corner experience but spent most of 2019 at free safety and slot corner. He lacks route recognition and closing burst to get after throws on a consistent basis. He's smaller, but is plenty tough in run support. Taylor might be worth a look as an undrafted slot corner with press potential.
