Well-built runner with very good size and athleticism who saw his 2019 season cut short by an ACL tear. He's a segmented runner with below-average instincts in feel for run-lane development. Williams has build-up speed when allowed to run to daylight, but he lacks creativity when operating near the line of scrimmage. He has enough speed to attack the flanks and can make sudden stops and jump cuts to slip early penetration. He doesn't offer enough passing-down value and may need to impress on special teams to find a job.
Slot target whose smooth routes are keyed by rapid-fire footwork and quiet upper body. He has separation potential, but needs to activate greater burst out of the top of the route to avoid the contested catches that cause him so much trouble. He's athletic enough for run-after-catch duties and punt returns, but doesn't get enough out of his athleticism as a route-runner. While the athletic ability is a plus, the lack of ball skills and ability to win when challenged are major drawbacks.
