NEEDS ANALYSIS
Adding a whole lot of juice to a pass rush that produced a league-low 13 sacks last season (no other team had fewer than 30) has to be the top priority for Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock. From there, they could go in a variety of directions, from adding more weaponry for Derek Carr to bolstering the back seven on defense.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Highly productive 4-3 defensive end with prototypical size, length and strength to offer early help against both the run and pass. Playing next to NFL talent in all three years certainly made things easier for Ferrell, but his edge-setting and rush plan improvements are self-made. His rush can be leggy and gradual and might not get home as often in the pros, but NFL coaching might further unleash his physical traits and turn him into a star. Ferrell is a complete defender and steady talent who could start early for a 4-3 stop unit.

Prototypical combination of size and skill-set as an every-down runner with the ability to slash or impose his will on any given snap. Jacobs runs with good bend, vision and burst, and he proved to be an effective pass-catcher out of the backfield or from the slot. He will probe and burst, but he could become more elusive with better tempo as a runner. Jacobs is a decisive runner with outstanding one-cut talent to become a bellcow lead back.

Blunt force-striker with the measurables and play demeanor teams look for from a down safety with nickel linebacker qualities. Abrams did an admirable job in coverage in Mississippi State's scheme but might not have the anticipation and ball skills to hold up in extended coverage duties. Abrams shines as a physical run defender with pursuit speed and energy to play sideline to sideline. He grades out as one of the better options for teams looking to deploy an effective "big nickel" defender near the box.

Long press-corner who can clog up the release but is more reactive than instinctive in coverage. Mullen can be a little inconsistent in anticipating route breaks, which can open small throwing windows, but his loose hips and response burst helps him latch back onto tight coverage. If Mullen can improve pattern recognition and reading the quarterback, the ball production should follow. He has Day 2 draft talent as an outside corner and could compete for a CB2 spot within a couple of years.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Developmental, long-limbed defensive end who needs a year or two of bulking up before he's ready to see the field. He's long and flexible and will flash on tape as both a rusher and run defender and those traits could outweigh his poor contact balance and play strength for some teams. If he grows into his gangly frame, Crosby offers a higher ceiling than some Day 3 prospects he could be lumped in with.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Press cornerback with imposing combination of size, length and speed, but in need of more work before he is game-ready. Johnson spent his first two seasons at receiver before transitioning over to the defensive side of the ball so there is still room for improvement, but also room for moldable growth. He has Day 1 traits, Day 2 talent and the consistency of a Day 3 corner, but patience and coaching could turn him into a disruptive press corner with starting potential by his second or third season.

Moreau is a feisty, committed run-blocking tackle with solid technique and footwork to find proper angles in-line or on the move. He's tough enough to battle at the point of attack, but at his best when he's a lead blocker on iso, wham blocks, and outside zone with his ability to locate and land on second-level targets. He lacks finesse as a route-runner and is too content to be covered when matched up against a linebacker. While he's not dynamic, he should find work as a run-blocking option who can be moved around formations.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Renfrow is a reliable, sure-handed slot receiver who lacks size and speed but creates catch opportunities for himself by varying route speed and running highly focused routes. His lack of vertical push will have nickel cornerbacks looking to smother him before he can get out of the gates, but his ball skills and ability to handle contested catches could make him a mid-round draft selection and early NFL contributor.

The tape does not warrant a draftable grade for the first year defensive player, but with such rare athletic traits at his disposal, he could be viewed as just the type of moldable prospect teams are looking for late in a draft. Bell's speed and length flashes from time to time, but he is a project that must be built from the ground up starting with basic fundamentals. Development is not guaranteed and will take time, but he could be viewed as a lottery ticket that could pay off if the coaching can click with the traits.
