PLAYER ANALYSIS
Blunt force-striker with the measurables and play demeanor teams look for from a down safety with nickel linebacker qualities. Abrams did an admirable job in coverage in Mississippi State's scheme but might not have the anticipation and ball skills to hold up in extended coverage duties. Abrams shines as a physical run defender with pursuit speed and energy to play sideline to sideline. He grades out as one of the better options for teams looking to deploy an effective "big nickel" defender near the box.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
The tape and production isn't good enough to warrant anything more than later Day 3 consideration, but he's a decent athlete and his size and length are rare commodities that zone-heavy teams will want to cultivate. He's not made for consistent man coverage and if he struggles to develop in zone, he could get moved to safety. Peters has developmental potential in the right scheme, but the floor is also lower than teams might like.

PLAYER ANALYSIS
Steps on the field looking like an NFL safety with good height, weight and length, but doesn't play physical enough for the box and is missing functional speed and ball skills for the back-end. McLaurin has decent instincts and feel for route progressions and quarterback intentions, but he will still be a step slow to the ball. His physical traits give him a chance of finding the back end of a roster or a practice squad as teams often look to develop safety skills around the physical traits.
