PLAYER ANALYSIS
Three-year starter with good size, intelligence and leadership qualities, but a lack of mobility and velocity. Shurmur got consistently better with each passing season despite playing with limited talent relative to his competition in the SEC. His tendency to check it down leads to higher completion totals and lower interceptions, but it also speaks to his own physical limitations. Because he takes care of the football and understands the game, he could displace a QB3 for a roster spot as a late Day 3 pick.
