Fitzgerald's size and arm talent is sure to land him on the back board of teams who covet those traits for developmental quarterbacks, but his issues with accuracy, decision-making and field vision make him more project than prospect. His running ability could help him find work for a team looking to employ a running quarterback in short-yardage packages, but he lacks the core components of a competent NFL passer, and it's hard to see him ever becoming a QB2 in the league.
