Big, two-down inside linebacker who lacks functional short-area athleticism to handle tasks that outside the tackle box on a consistent basis. Lamar's size will appeal to traits-heavy teams looking for rare size to coach up despite the fact that some issues center around athletic deficiencies rather than technique flaws. His lack of fluidity takes him out of coverage situations, but he appears to have decent straight-line speed. His size gives him a shot, but core special teamer might be his best bet as a pro.
