Defensive tackle with decent athleticism but a troubling lack of play strength. Cothran is a try hard interior defender who will have to live in the weight room and also become a much better hand fighter to have a shot in the pros. He does have the foot quickness to open some doors with penetration, but he's too easily redirected to finish with high impact production.

Two-year starter with decent power at the point of attack, but a lack of functional athletic ability to handle all of the duties necessary to make plays inside. Cothren isn't going to win the eyeball test and won't blow teams away with his testing at pro day. He should be a longshot to make a roster unless he opens eyes in the post-season.
