Cruikshank does have talent and is a hungry hitter, but he may lack the consistency in coverage to hold up as a full-time safety or cornerback. His ability to run and hit could make him a Day 3 target for a team looking to turn him into a backup defensive back and special teams ace.

Though he played in a zone-heavy, read-option attack this year, he is better-suited to firing off the ball in a power-based scheme. His lack of foot quickness could pose challenges in pass protection and may limit him to a role as a backup at best if he makes a team.
