Self-made man whose productivity on the field this season matched up with his talent and productivity off the field. Carr is a big slot receiver who is best left to working on the first and second levels in routes that are more fluid and less angular. He's tough enough to work the middle of the field and secure throws in traffic, but scouts question whether or not he's athletic enough to get open. He's a likely undrafted free agent with an outside shot to make a roster.

While Lane is still very raw and continuing to learn the position and the art of route-running, it is hard to imagine him gaining much more functional speed or athleticism. His hands are adequate and he has very good size and strength so it might make sense to beef Lane up and give him a shot at a move tight end spot if he fails to make it as a receiver. Dieter's ball skills caught my eye when I studied him this summer, but the step up from Bowling Green to Alabama as a graduate transfer appeared to overwhelm him this season. Dieter's play speed and athleticism are underwhelming and he is unable to show off his strong hands and abilities near the goal line if he's not in the game. His size and ability to block are intriguing, but if he can't get open with speed or quickness, it likely won't matter.
