The individual pieces are more intriguing than the sum of those parts at this time. Carter is a terrific tackler who combines attitude and technique for memorable finishes. His cover skills and technique are a bit of a mess as a safety, but he’s still raw and moldable. Carter tackles like a linebacker and could be considered as a box-only safety with potential to move to linebacker if he can add good weight.
