Wes Welker on facing Sherman: I'll take anyone 1-on-1

The Seattle Seahawks' Legion of Boom can silence most receiving corps. However, in Super Bowl XLVIII they won't be facing most receiving corps.

The Denver Broncos' pick-your-poison offense poses problems with its ability to attack any part of the field with multiple players from numerous formations.

"It's what we look forward to, No. 1 offense versus No. 1 defense," Wes Welker told NFL Media's Deion Sanders during Tuesday's Super Bowl Media Day.  "(There are) a lot of great players on that defensive unit of the Seahawks. I mean, they got a lot of guys that fly around to the football, so it's going to be a good matchup for us."

Welker has 10 receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown in two playoff games, after missing the end of the regular season with a concussion.

The dynamic slot receiver was asked about matching up with Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. Welker said he has no problem going up against anyone.

"Yeah, anytime, man," Welker said. "I want anybody one-on-one in the slot. Anytime."

As for any other advice for Sherman, Welker joked that the corner should stop with all the interviews.

"Quit doing one-on-ones, man," Welker laughed. "Every time I look up he's doing one-on-ones. Stick to the field, man, stick to the field."
