There's something ugly about the thought of Lawrence Taylor's Super Bowl XXV ring being auctioned off to a wealthy bidder.

We learned Friday that Taylor's son is behind the online sale, with his father's permission. The Hall of Fame linebacker gifted the ring to his son and said doesn't have a problem with him peddling it.

A current member of the New York Giants feels differently. Defensive end Osi Umenyiora is starting a Twitter campaign to restore the ring to its rightful owner:
