Travis Henry reinstated by NFL after four-year absence

Running back Travis Henry, who hasn't played in the NFL since 2007, has been officially reinstated by the NFL, a source with knowledge of his situation said Tuesday.

Henry was activated from the reserve/suspended by Commissioner list. The 34-year-old remains a free agent and appears to be a long shot to find work.

Henry gained 691 yards for the Denver Broncos in 2007, but he was suspended for one season for being a repeat violator of the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
