Demaryius Thomas spent an ungodly amount of time last season answering questions about the transition from Denver's run-of-the mill offense under Kyle Orton to the insane unorthodox attack led by Tim Tebow.
Change is in the wind again, and the Broncos wideout is just beginning to wrap his mind around shifting from Tebow's read-option to the Manning air assault.
"It's so tough to learn because I've never been in this type of offense that -- I don't know what we're going to do -- but I've never been in that type of, like, a hurry-up offense," Thomas told KKFN-FM in Denver, via SportsRadioInterviews.com.
"Just being the receiver I am, I know it's gonna be different for me now. ... I feel like I'm gonna have to come back in better shape and ready to learn more from what I already know. I'm just looking forward to it."
Thomas caught wind of the Manning acquisition via text message. He was pleased, but the Tebow saga remains vivid in the mind's eye for Thomas.Â
The Broncos' second-leading receiver from last season can't help but feel for the quarterback who's gone from crowned king to afterthought in Denver.
"I actually do, because Tim, he's a hard worker," Thomas said. "Everybody talk -- about him about he can't throw and all this. I feel bad about him, he's a hard worker and competitive dude, and I feel like he knows how to win. I don't know what it is, but he always -- there's something about him that he knows how to win and I don't know what's gonna happen with him but I wish him the best of luck and everything."
