The city last hosted the event in 2004, two years after the Texans came into the league. Houston received middling reviews as a host city, making it a distinct possibility the hoisting of the Lombardi Trophy in south Texas was a one-and-done proposition.
"When people start thinking about, `Where am I going to go on vacation this year?' they don't typically think about Houston," McNair said, according to The Associated Press. "We need to change that image. That's part of it."
