Reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Terrell Suggs recently was ordered to turn in several firearms in conjunction with a domestic case, The Baltimore Sun reported Thursday.
Suggs' girlfriend, Candace Williams, filed a court order in Baltimore County Circuit Court last month after the Ravens linebacker filed a custody complaint against her on Nov. 19. Two days later, according to Baltimore County police, two 911 calls were placed from Suggs' address on Nov. 21, but reports weren't taken.

"The guns were surrendered over to police pursuant to the court order, and they (Suggs and Williams) are resolving their issues," Suggs' lawyer, Warren Alperstein, told The Sun. "All I can tell you is that he's in rightful and lawful possession of the guns but turned them over pursuant to the requirements of the law."
Alperstein told The Sun he expects all domestic issues to be resolved at a court hearing next week. Suggs declined comment, and Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne would only say the team is aware of the ongoing case.
Williams has two children with Suggs, and they once were engaged, The Sun reported. She filed a complaint in December of 2009 that Suggs knocked her down and threw a soap dispenser during an argument over game tickets. Williams was granted a temporary protective order afterward, but she withdrew that and a $70 million lawsuit as the two tried to resolve their differences, according to The Sun.
