Tennessee Titans place Michael Roos on injured reserve

The Tennessee Titans officially placed left tackle Michael Roos on injured reserve.

The team announced on Saturday that the 32-year-old Roos, who's been selected as an All-Pro pass-blocker three times, will have his season ended after injuring his right knee.

This opens the door for No. 11 overall pick Taylor Lewan to take the left tackle job sooner rather than later -- look for him Sunday against the Jaguars.

Roos is in the last year of a six-year deal signed in 2008 and will become a free agent after this season.
