Tebow: 'Hard to get that far away from' media swarm

If you're drowning in all the Tim Tebow coverage, you're not alone.

Even the Broncos quarterback has trouble escaping from the hysteria.

"I've honestly done my best to try to just stay clear of it and not pay too much attention, not listen to too much of it -- that's obviously hard," Tebow told the New England media on a conference call before Sunday's game against the Patriots. "It's hard to get that far away from it."

Tebow hasn't wandered out of the forest. He was under a microscope at Florida, but the volume has been dialed up all the way during Denver's six-game winning streak, highlighted by one bizarre/magical finish after another.

It hasn't appeared to change the second-year passer, who maintains that, off the field, there is a calm.

"Just something I learned when I was pretty young at Florida, was just not to worry about what I can't control and that's something that I can't control. I think my biggest focus is every day trying to be the best teammate, trying to honor the Lord with how I play and how I live and trying to work to be a better quarterback, better teammate, be focused, have a great attitude and that's really been my outlook on everything and not necessarily what people are saying about me.

"Thank the Lord that I don't have to live the roller-coaster that other people say about my life -- that's the good part."
