Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson undergoes surgery

Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery.

Peterson suffered a right-ankle injury against the Bengals on Nov. 23, according to the Arizona Republic, and he underwent surgery earlier this week and might be able to participate at some point in organized team activities.

Peterson posted this picture Wednesday thanking his doctor and saying that surgery went well.

Fellow cornerback and teammate Justin Bethel underwent surgery to repair a left-foot fracture. He is not expected to participate in OTAs, the Arizona Republic reported.
