You can safely assume Richard Sherman will come up when the final 10 names in NFL Network's The Top 100 Players of 2014 countdown are revealed tonight.
That nice bit of listacle real estate doesn't mean the Seattle Seahawks cornerback is on board with the annual list, however.
"I'm not going to lie, I'm not a huge fan," Sherman told NFL Media's Willie McGinest on Tuesday's edition of NFL Total Access. "You know, I don't like where Earl was ranked."
That would be Seahawks teammate Earl Thomas, who came in at No. 17 on the countdown. McGinest told Sherman that Thomas' reaction to his placement was a tweet that read, "That's, cute."
"Because that's what it is," Sherman said. "Earl is percent a top five, top 10 player in this league, has tremendous impact in every game, is around the ball every play. Kam Chancellor was in the 60s (Chancellor was 65) I think and could easily be top-20, top-15 if we're being honest, and had the best playoffs of any player in this game. He played huge.
"Those are the big reasons. I think those two were slights, and they were big slights, and there were other slights out there. I think there were guys who played some really good football last year, got kind of low balled, and myself last year I had 8 picks last year."
McGinest reminded Sherman that player voting decides the list.
"I still haven't got my ballot," he said. "We've got to fix it."
The final 10 names will be revealed tonight at 9 p.m. ET. Sherman's own Twitter feed has the potential to be active.
