"I don't think it bothered me at all," Coples said Tuesday, according to The Star-Ledger. "I think he's got high expectations for me, and at the end of the day, I've got to meet his expectations.
"It was one of those situations where it may look bad," Coples said, "but at the end of the day, it wasn't. But I understand where he's coming from. I understand the expectations, and I've just got to do better."
Coples admitted to feeling winded during a couple plays, but Ryan said he "absolutely" is not concerned about the defender's performance.
"I just gave a very honest deal on him," Ryan said, "I just saw him give that puppy dog look. The puppy dog barks a lot (too). He has some bite to him. He has had three sacks."
