NFL officially grants draft eligibility to 65 underclassmen

The National Football League announced Thursday the names of 65 players who have been granted special eligibility for the 2012 NFL Draft, to be held April 26-28 in New York.

Each of the 65 players has met the league's three-year eligibility rule, and each has submitted a written application in which he renounced his remaining college football eligibility. The deadline for receiving applications was Jan. 15.

The NFL draft will kick off in prime time for the third consecutive year. The first round will be held Thursday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET. The second and third rounds are set for Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m. ET. Rounds 4 through 7 will be held on Saturday, April 28 at noon ET.
