New coach Schiano: We're going to draft 'Buccaneer men'

Tampa Bay Buccaneers first-year coach Greg Schiano spoke to the media Thursday, and although he was cagey about who the team was interested in drafting with the No. 5 overall pick, he explained what he was looking for in a player.

"We're going to get Buccaneer men, as we say," Schiano said.

Schiano talked about work ethic as a priority for the type of player he and general manager Mark Dominik are interested in bringing in.

"Mark and I from the beginning, we made it clear we're going to work together," Schiano said, adding that it has very quickly become a good working relationship.

Tampa Bay owns six selections in the draft, including the fifth overall pick. Schiano was asked if he had someone in mind with that pick.

"Yeah, I've got a lot of them," he quipped.

"Anything I say publicly about that puts us at a disadvantage," Schiano added. "I think this pick is very important to our organization. Not just the first pick but all six picks."
