A first-round draft pick by Dallas in 2008, Jenkins made an appearance in the 2009 Pro Bowl. However, in his final three years with the Cowboys, he was outplayed by Orlando Scandrick. Though Jenkins managed just two interceptions and was burned frequently during that period, the cornerback insists he never lost confidence.
"My swagger and my confidence never left. My last few years in Dallas had nothing to do with swagger," Jenkins said, via the Dallas Morning News. "It was more of a personal vendetta that was going on around there, and I don't care too much to talk about it."
Asked to elaborate on the "personal vendetta," Jenkins called it "pointless" to "bring up old fire."
Perhaps it had to do with the fact that he never got a second contract from the same team that signed Scandrick to a five-year, $27 million contract extension.
Despite the short week, Jenkins is expected to be in the lineup on Thanksgiving after passing most of the NFL's concussion protocol.
