Michael Vick won't say if he'll play for Eagles in Week 6

Chip Kelly was asked by reporters Thursday when he believes he needs to make a decision on the Week 6 status of Eagles quarterback Michael Vick.

Kelly's response? "12:59."

As in 12:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, one minute before the Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are scheduled to kickoff.

"Mike got through all individuals and did a little work in seven-on-sevens," Kelly said. "So we'll see if we can expand on that today. We'll get a feel when he gets down there."

Vick told reporters he's making progress in his recovery but couldn't guarantee he'd be ready to play by the weekend. Asked if he was leaning toward not playing, Vick replied, "I can't answer that, we'll see on Sunday."

Vick strained his hamstring during last Sunday's win over the New York Giants. There have been reports the quarterback could miss multiple weeks. Given Vick's rich injury history, it could be a mistake to rush the veteran back before he's completely healthy.

Don't be surprised if Nick Foles is in the huddle when 12:59 becomes 1 o'clock.
