The courtship of Peyton Manning is about to get real, with an assortment of NFL teams salivating at the prospect of signing the star quarterback upon his expected release from the Colts.
Manning's next stop remains a mystery, but one Arizona mattress company has wasted no time in making its pitch on behalf of the Cardinals.
"PEYTON MANNING Please Sleep Here!" screams a billboard high above Interstate 10 in Phoenix, the brainchild of R&S Mattress, per KTAR-AM.
Along with the highway signage, the company will display its message on three LED billboards over the next two weeks.
We've seen this strategy work before in Denver, where pro-Tim Tebow billboards graced the metropolis prior to the quarterback becoming the Broncos' starter. In that case, however, Tebow was already on the roster.
The Cardinals are widely considered a logical home for Manning, but R&S better have the mattress stuffed with cash, because it's going to take a lot of it to bring this future Hall of Fame passer to the desert.
