Lions' Calvin Johnson to sit Thursday with knee bruise

The Detroit Lions are taking a cautious approach with Calvin Johnson.

A knee bruise will keep the record-breaking wide receiver off the field when the Lions meet the Cleveland Brownson Thursday night.

The Detroit Free Press reported that Patrick Edwards will start in Johnson's place.

No need to panic in the Motor City. As we pointed out earlier Thursday, some players have much to gain from playing this weekend. Megatron is not one of them.
