Linebacker Zach Brown agrees to terms with Titans

Tennessee Titans linebacker Zach Brown was one of the most talked-about second-round picks in the NFL draft last month. That's what happens when Mike Mayock says you are "allergic to contact." (Which seems like a bad allergy for a linebacker to have.)

Brooks: Top five over 35

Age ain't nothin' but a number, right? Bucky Brooks identifies the top five players over age 35 for the 2012 campaign. **More ...**

Brown gets to start proving the draft analysts wrong now that he's signed with the team. The Titans announced that they have agreed to terms with the North Carolina product.

The deal is worth $3.858 million over four years, according to Brown's agent Brian Overstreet, reports Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times. Brown will receive a $1.246 million signing bonus and his second-year guaranteed salary is $565,377.

Brown has said he has a "chip on his shoulder" to prove to the NFL that he's not soft. For now, he looks like the team's fourth linebacker unless he can beat out Will Witherspoon for a starting job.
