Knee injury sidelines Patriots' Mayo for second straight game

New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo is inactive for Sunday's tilt against the Dallas Cowboys and will miss his second straight game since injuring his knee in Week 4.

Mayo returned to practice Friday for the first time since sustaining the injury, but a single practice was not enough to propel him back into action.

Running backs BenJarvus Green-Ellis (toe) and Danny Woodhead (ankle), tight end Aaron Hernandez (knee) and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (back) are all active. Cornerback Leigh Bodden (thumb) is out for the Patriots.

Cowboys guard Kyle Kosier will play despite a foot injury.
