Ken Whisenhunt: Larry Fitzgerald will get his catches

How many of you would have believed, two weeks ago, that the Arizona Cardinals would be tied with the San Francisco 49ers atop the NFC West with a 2-0 record?

Now, how many would have believed that could happen with little contribution from All-Pro wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald?

Welcome to a bizarro Week 2 where Peyton Manning has three interceptions in the first quarter, Brandon Weeden throws for 322 yards, and there's controversy over a victory-formation snap.

"Coach (Bill) Belichick is not the best coach in history for no reason," Fitzgerald said, via Cardinals reporter Darren Urban. "He's done it for a long time. He does a great job defensively. It was good to get out with a win, to be honest."

Fitzgerald has five receptions for 67 yards and no touchdowns this season. But the Cardinalsare 2-0 with Kevin Kolb at quarterback.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt had a few encouraging words for you downtrodden fantasy owners with Fitzgerald on the roster.

"Larry is going to have his catches," Whisenhunt said. "We're certainly going to make sure we work on that."
