With the 2014 NFL Draft officially underway, find out how to catch all the action from Radio City Music Hall on NFL Network. **More ...**

Radio City Music Hall erupted with Roger Goodell's announcement that the Browns skipped on the chance to take the playmaker out of Texas A&M in favor of Oklahoma State cornerback Justin Gilbert. Of course, the Browns got their QB with the No. 22 overall pick.

The pick gives coach Mike Pettine another intriguing piece for his increasingly nasty defense.

Gilbert flashed explosive straight-line speed at the college level. NFL Films guru Greg Cosell recently cited comparisons to the play of Arizona's Patrick Peterson, calling Gilbert one of the more intriguing cornerbacks in this year's class.

Pairing Gilbert with Joe Haden was a very Mike Pettine-esque move at No. 8, a pick the Browns acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings. The new Browns coach, of course, made his living in New York by unleashing Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie on the AFC East.

This shapes up as a solid pick for a Browns team that won't easily be pushed around by opposing passing games in 2014.
