John Fox: Knowshon Moreno 'day to day' with injury

Knowshon Moreno appears to have avoided significant injury in the AFC Championship Game.

Denver Broncos coach John Fox said Monday that X-rays on Moreno's ribs were negative and the running back is considered day to day.

Moreno was injured on a tackle by Jamie Collins midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's 26-16 win over the New England Patriots. Moreno appeared to be in significant discomfort as he reached the sideline and didn't return for the Broncos' final possession. Moreno finished with 14 carries for 59 yards and two receptions for 22 yards.

Montee Ball took over ball-carrier duties after Moreno exited, an arrangement that would likely remain in place if Moreno couldn't go in the Super Bowl. All that said, fully expect to see Moreno on the field against the Seattle Seahawks.
