Jets bring back Lankster to shore up reeling secondary

The New York Jets re-signed defensive back Ellis Lankster pending a physical Tuesday, a league source told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.

Lankster was with the Jets during the preseason and was a seventh-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2010.

La Canfora also reports, citing a league source, that ex-Miami Dolphins fullback Lousaka Polite worked out Tuesday with the Jets. Polite had been with the Dolphins for the past three seasons and rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown in 2010.
