Jermichael Finley's wife: Packers TE had concussion

Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley was missing from practice Friday morning for an undisclosed reason. And then his wife Courtney disclosed it on Twitter.

Legan: A pitching coach for QBs?

Tom House is well known in baseball circles, but Kenny Legan chronicles his profound influence on NFL quarterbacks. **More ...**

"(Jermichael) got a slight very mild concussion at practice yesterday protocol is to sit a few days," Courtney Finley wrote, according to Aaron Nagler of BleacherReport.com.

She then also said he was feeling fine and raring to practice again, but you can't find these notes because she quickly deleted the information.

Teams do not generally like wives disclosing injury information, especially concussions. (And can we please eliminate the term "mild concussion" from our vocabulary?)

But this is an interesting case to watch. Teams are not required to disclose injury information as regularly in training camp. There might be more pressure to sit a player in the regular season if we know he had previous concussions in camp.

UPDATE: Credit Packers coach Mike McCarthy for fully disclosing Finley's injury. The tight end will be out a couple days with a concussion, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
