The Dallas Cowboys could use a third wide receiver, but they don't appear desperate enough to pursue the services of an old, familiar face: veteran wideout Terrell Owens.
There's plenty of reasons the 38-year-old Owens is out of work. In Dallas, he's simply not a fit. T.O. was productive during his time with the Cowboys -- 235 catches for 3,587 yards and 38 touchdowns in three seasons -- but we'd be stunned if they went anywhere near him.
Dez Bryant has crossed paths with T.O. this summer at celebrity softball and basketball games, but he wouldn't say much when asked about teaming with him:

"From what I see, he's a great guy," Bryant told The Dallas Morning News, "I don't really want to speak too much on that."
Jason Witten had his ups and downs with Owens from 2006 to 2008. T.O. ruffled feathers inside the locker room after suggesting quarterback Tony Romo was overly focused on the tight end on passing plays. If Owens is hoping for Witten to play cheerleader, that appears unlikely.
"It would be indifferent for me," Witten said. "I think it would be hard for me to make a comment on it really. I'm just out of that situation and let those guys handle that."
The Cowboys lack depth at wideout. The loss of Laurent Robinson leaves Kevin Ogletree and fifth-round draft choice Danny Coale behind Bryant and Miles Austin. Dwayne Harris is in the mix, but for some, T.O. still hangs out there in space as an option. A highly unlikely one.
