Jake Locker no longer viewed as Titans' franchise QB?

We pointed out after Jake Locker's season-ending Lisfranc injury that the Tennessee Titans will have to make a decision on their quarterback's future before the 2014 NFL Draft.

If the Titans pick up Locker's fifth-year option, it will run them in the neighborhood of $15 million for 2015. It's quite the conundrum: Locker has a checkered injury history, and there will be an abundance of premium quarterback prospects available at Tennessee's draft slot.

A team source tells NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that the Titans believed they finally had found their franchise quarterback after Locker's impressive half versus the Jets in Week 4, only to watch him go down with serious hip, knee and foot injuries.

Realizing they no longer can count on Locker to start all 16 games in a season, the Titans now are "undecided about how to proceed" with their injured starter, per Rapoport.

The quarterback situation is one of several -- including the futures of running back Chris Johnson, coach Mike Munchak and general manager Ruston Webster -- that the franchise's new ownership will have to settle in 2014.
